oil pick up tube install

Matt; Yeah, I have been eating my Wheaties lately. I
have always just had to "tap" the tube into the pump
body, usually with a wrench around the shoulder and a
small hammer. I never saw a need to press it in, but I
only pull an AMC six apart about once in a long while.
What does the TSM say about doing so? I haven't had a
six let loose on me in years, and always from a PO.
I am putting a lot of dough (for me anyways, I'm a
cheapskate)into my 4.0 build up and don't want any surprises....Russ
