A guy I knew a while ago bought a new F250 4X4 Crew cab 8' bed diesel. He averaged 18-20 mpg in the hills around here and when he loaded up the truck and took his wife and two kids down your way to Disney world he averaged 22+ mpg running 80 mph.
   Now his truck was an automatice and about as big a truck as you acn find.
I'd think you'd have no problem getting 20 out of  atwo wheel drive version.
  My cousin had a 2002 Chevey 3/4 ton Diesel 4X4 stand cab automatic and he said he averaged around 20 mpg.
