Also, AMC offered these as an option in some years. The factory ones 
plugged into the headlight switch (there was a pigtail for the brown wire) 
and the parking brake warning light switch had a pigtail that went to the 
"brake" terminal on the fuse block. The wiring diagram I have at 
http://www.mattsoldcars.com/techinfo/images/68amer.gif shows this.
