This is not true for all. Many here do buy parts, and pay for events. There are some that don't, and other that just want/have to make the best use of the funds they have available (re my post about not using the Aero hubs).
It is true that many AMCers do pinch a penny rather tightly. But before you say to much remember that some do so out of necessity. that's totally different from those who CAN but don't.
There is a BIG crowd on the internet that won't pay for anything, they expect that all info on the internet should be free -- cars, computers, what ever kind of info is "here". It isn't just a car club -- and especially not an AMC -- thing. They don't seem to realize that someone takes a lot of time to amass the info then costs to have space to put it up.
