imho you also have to consider crossmember location. some, maybe all
jeeps don't have a crossmember right under the middle of the engine...
what tranny do you have? if you have a 4sp [sr4], a swap to a 'stang
5.0 t5 isn't too hard; if you have a 3sp [t150], a swap to a ford
toploader is even easier. of course you need a floor shifter and you
may have to fudge the tranny mount, but splines and bellhousing bolt
pattern and length are the same for any 4sp not for a big block or big
car. [even the late-'70s iron-cased granada o/d 4sp fits]
