I'm completely aware of the interchange and the fact that holes can be filled. The passenger fender I have is a 440 with all the molding holes. It is rustfree and in good to excellent condition. I have both doors with no molding holes rustfree and straight. Two hoods and a trunklid, all rustfree and straight. All I really want to add to my collection is a rustfree drivers fender and a passenger quarter panel that can be rusted around the wheel lip as I will use it replace my heavily repaired original and install a left front fender wheel opening in it. The molding holes on the fenders are actuall a little bit of work to fill. They are large about 5/16" and there are 8-8 of them. I have been procrastinating taking my passenger fender over to my friends to get it welded up. His somn is ICar certified in MIG welding and says he can weld the hols shut and grind down the spots and I will have no warping and need little to no filler. I just need to get the fender over there for him to do it. If I get it done and it turns out nice. Then I will gladly not care if athe drivers fender has the same holes in it. Till them I prefer that it not. I have tried to find this fender off and on for a whil now and just keep coming up a day late. Matt Haas is the expert there! Might be some minor mods to make and not direct bolt on fit IIRC, but Matt should have the details. Filling trim holes isn't that bad a job. Most 69 fenders will have them, as there were more 440s made than base models.
