Just to give you some comparisons-

I took the front and rear seats to Leathermenders, a local shop in Austin, 
TX to whom I used to refer quite a bit of work when I was in the body shop. 
They quoted me $1300.00 for a simple but very nice set of custom seat 
covers.

I told them forget it and ended up taking my seats to a young guy that took 
over his father's business.  The father did some excellent work years ago 
for me but sadly retired.  The kid did a magnificent  job and it cost me 
$600.00.  I had to run them down to a little town outside San Antonio but it 
was worth it.

Austin has the highest cost of living in Texas and San Antonio is MUCH lower 
even though it is only 90 miles away.

I would spend some time shopping around get references from other gearheads 
in your area.
