details, details!

i have the bolt patterns and retainer diameters for both the t-96/t-14
and t-5 [courtesy advance adapters], but the datum missing from them is
the relationship of the input shafts relative to the patterns.

i thought of a shadetree way around that though -
1. line up the transmissions side by side to figure exactly how thick
   the plate should be.
2. starting with a registration hole, mill the plate down on one side,
   leaving a lip that fits the bellhousing retainer hole, 4 1/4".
3. also on the registration hole, mill the larger retainer recess for
   the t5 on the other side, 4.85".  mill pockets for the retainer
   bolts to leave the plate as thick as possible.
4. mill the registration hole out to 3 1/2" - 3 3/4".
5. then the plate can be slipped onto the tranny and marked for the
    bolt holes, then likewise slipped onto the bell and marked for the
    bolt holes...  there are details, like making sure the tranny is
   reasonably untwisted, and holes don't overlap, and the countersinks
   for the bellhousing bolts and tapping for the tranny bolts...
