You can pick one up from many different sources---they don't have to be strictly from a 1970 AMC.
All the power steering boxes on all AMCs from mid-60s up through the last Eagle in 1988 used the Saginaw pump, and they are all pretty much interchangeable physically. The internal ratios might be a bit different, but they will all bolt in place of each other.
The most direct interchange for an Ambo would be from a 1967-74 Ambassador or 67-78 Matador. I imagine the Javelin boxes would be a close match as far as turning radius, as well.
Find an AMX box or a box from a later Spirit GT/AMX and you'll likely gain a variable ratio.
I can go on and on and on regarding what would interchange and what would work, but in short, I'm telling you to NOT limit yourself to a 1970 steering box....
