The only problem with that car is the 195.6 OHV engine. If it were a 232 or even a 199 it would be a great candidate. Joe's American with 195.6 L-head would be marginal, but a heavier car with the 195.6 would be much worse! I say throw a junkyard turbo on the 195.6 L-head and go with that! I can still see a 1V TBI unit sandwiched between the head and a turbo, with the exhaust coming in from the front the down the right side of the engine, with a cone filter on the other side of the turbo...
