the ax15 may be big, but i doubt it's as bulky as the tremec.  that's
based on the ford toploader, designed in the mid-'60s to cope with
muscle car big blocks.

is the late-'70s tunnel that much bigger?  that's when amc used the
tremec t150, also a ford toploader.
