Nick, I was told that I need to replace the push rods with high performance ones and add push rod guides. The guides would require me to take the heads back and have them grounded/reworked at the machine shop for the guides. If I need to add the guides I'm going to leave it the way it was. Depending on the brand, some fit AMCs better than others. Crane makes a rocker specifically for AMC. Some of the cheaper brands use a rockers for combined applications that might need a little grinding to the underside of the rocker to clear the keeper throughly. Are they just a bolt on item or do you need to do anything special to the heads?
