Mostly true about the TBI, but on a long engine like the AMC six port injection means you have even fuel distribution and wear. #1 and #6 will still run leanest with a TBI, with only the middle two really "right" or close to it. Plus you can pick up a 4.0L intake, throttle body, and exhaust manifold cheap at the SY. If you have to fab the intake it's a different story (like with the AMC V-8, which also doesn't have that much of an even fuel distribution problem).
