Not long ago in Dog years, a researcher reopened
the Hindengerg Disaster to see why the Dirrigable 
went down in flames.

He was able to obtain from a Collector, a sample of
the Original Fabric outer covering scavenged from
the wreck and had tests run
on it.

Since the designers wanted to keep the Bag cool,
they used Aluminum Powder for reflectivity - and
a composition in the 'Dope' that came back as :
Gun Powder...... yep > read that right.

The researcher travelled to Germany to read from
the Original Build Book on the Hindenberg & check
the chemical composition he had found against 
the Build requirements. Yes > the chemistry is
correct > same as Gun Powder.

Aluminum Powder + Hydrogen = Space Shuttle
Solid Rocket  Booster fuel . Yes > that is what
fuels the Space Shuttles Booster Motors -

That Hindenberg was graced to even make it
out of the Hanger let alone to New Jersey before
Igniting.
