RE: 904 / 727 length difference

Joe I have one of each setting in the garage, I measured from the Bell, at 
the starter location to the butt of the 904 and 727, this is a slight angle 
measurement.  Looks like the 727 is about 3 inches longer.

904 = 31.5 inches
727 = 35 inches

Can someone tell me the difference in length between a
727 and a 904?  I'm "assuming/guessing" that a 727 is
about 3-4" longer overall? I've located a drive shaft
that may work in my Gremlin when i swap in a 727.
