The dual injection idea you mention is not new. In fact you CAN do it
yourself! Check out this site,

I have one of these kits now that I have just started on. It will be used on
my son's 78 Toyota pickup (it currently has a 410cfm Weber on it). I found
an old "Iron Puke" donor car that I will be using to supply all the sensor's
and TB.
