A: A lot of the Couriers came with 2.3 towards the end of the line. They had
adapters onto the intake (which had a Motorcraft 2100 shaped base, which I
know because we put a couple of those carbs on with 1 stud modified and the
holes reamed slightly to fit) and ran the Mikuni? carb on top. Same with
Pinto and Bobcat '74 to '80 with 2.3L only they often came with a Weber
progressive 2bbl lookalike.

I know the last Pintos used them -- 1979? All 2.3L Ford fours used them
until they went to fuel injection. I don't know what the last year a carbed
Ford small car was made. Might be through the feedback years, so 79 would be
about the last year of non-feedback carbs, 1980-81 for small trucks (did the
Courier use the 2.3L Ford -- that would be the last application of a
non-feedback engine anyway). You wouldn't want a feedback carb anyway.
