But what's that on top of the intake -- an old Carter YF single

That's what it is! Bird in hand, etc ... but I will probably buy a
rebuilt from nationalcarburetors.com. No way I'm messing with
used, 20-year-old carbs, been there, done that. At one point I had
four BBDs here, off AMCs, none was even a rebuildable core, rotted
castings, all sorts of troubles. I've got a few YFs all in great
shape (two other cars use them).
Running, with YF, is an easy project to upgrade to BBD or Weber.
Not running, it remains hypothetical. All I need is some more $100
bills.
the Motorcraft two stage 2V carbs from an old Pinto or almost any
early 80s Ford 2.3L.
I'll see what I can google on them; since I have to buy a carb it
doesn't matter that much. Mileage matters to me, this will be a
Los Angeles daily driver.
Do you know of a specific application? That would be a good
start...
I might even go the LPG route again. I'm pretty pleased with the
other car on LP.
