After repairing, searching for replacment interior parts and dyeing all the parts black for the new orange Hornet for 2 winters. I am finally almost done and ready to install a complete new black bucket seat interior to replace the tan bench seat interior with those horrible paid seat inserts. They remind me of a horrible 70's liesure suit. I can say it was quite a project that I have done all myself except for I still have to have the seats upholstered. This was a clean rust free car that came from Florida and had a UV toasted, water damaged and abused interior. I can't wait to get it done. I would like to thank all the people on all the AMC lists I belong to for help in finding the NOS, used and repairable parts to make this one striking interior. Also the venders Like A.J. and Kennedy who supplied many large and small parts to complete this job. I was hopeing for a May 1'st completion date but poor health and bad weather has put me behind. It looks more like a June 1'st---15'th completion. With all the mechanical repairs done except for the tranny it is a real nice driver. The new interior will really make it a sharp car. It has the original paint in real good shape that I will touch up and I have a 77 Hornet AMX rear louver and a complete set of flairs to install after I paint them to match the car. It's been a long costly road to get this car in this shape and I figure I will have around 10,000$ in it when done. Better the money on an AMC than a cookie cutter "Ricer" 4 door sedan.
