Someone mentioned posi 15s in AMCs and they were
indeed available. I have one in my 65 440 as the last
time I played with it I left two 235-60 patches
behind. I had installed the large brakes back there so
I don't have those cute little American binders
anymore.
I pulled a posi 15 out of a Gremlin at a boneyard once
too, so they came in many forms. I believe the Jeeps
have them in quite a few rigs.
If shopping, just yank off the plate to check as you
can't rely on turning the wheel. The posi unit could
be damged or froze and not allow both wheels to lock,
so pull off the plate and look around. Just remember
to replace with two bolts to protect from the elements......Russ
