Javelin Roof Rail Weatherstrip

Anyone had problems with the roof rail weatherstrip from Metro for a 71-74 
Javelin?  The original weatherstrip had an L shaped cross-section and the top 
of the window laid in the inside corner of the L. ?The guys at the body shop 
are telling me that the new pieces have a square cross-section. ?It's so 
thick that they can't get the door shut all the way. ?

I have a query in to the vendor that I bought it from, but I was curious if 
this was a known problem.
