This would definitely need to be a labor of love!
John Elle did his wife's 79 AMX since she had bought it new.
He replaced all the front clip including the rails as far back as the go under the floor! He bought two hornet clips to do this as the first one he bought ended up being too short for his needs.
He wrote it all up, IIRC. If anyone has his contact he could tell you about the task at hand.
 I know I kept his T-5 write up, Ithink it is on my home computer, but He doesn't do much online anymore he likes working on cars more last I heard!
