Last night, Larry Daum and I took my SC 360 clone for a spin. When he stomped on it, the car didn't take off like you would expect. It balked and hesitated before it picked up speed. It also takes about 10 minutes to warm up in the morning. Any less and it will stall when you accelerate or if it doesn't stall, it will "pop" through the carb several times. Larry thinks it may be running too rich or not jetted right. The carb is a Carter AFB performance 4-bbl. I'm thinking of switching to an Edlebrock 600 cfm Performer 4-bbl. and possibly an Edlebrock intake. I'm seeking suggestions for my carb problem. I also want to know if replacing the Carter with an Edlebrock is a good idea. Also, I'm thinking of going with an MSD ignition. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
