Rebuilt calipers are easy to find -- it's a GM caliper. The main frame that bolts to the AMC bracket and holds the main piston body of the caliper is hard to find for an AMC. I don't know if a standard GM part will fit, but I suppose it should. The frame from an Eagle might work, if the GM frame will the Eagle should too. No one has tried a standard GM caliper as far as I know. I'm not sure if the 82-83 adapter bracket (between spindle and steering knuckle) is the same as earlier ones or not. I think the earlier brakes were similar to Ford (Bendix) and use Ford mount spacing -- Ford used Bendix also. The GM units may be drilled to used the same mount, or could be GM type mount since the braket wouldn't be costly to change. It's one of those things no one has done yet because there are (were??) still plenty of AMC donor cars known to work out there.
