You're correct that they'd be done on a standard 
typewriter of the era, thus the 'font' is 'Courier'.
[They were typed at the factory-level, not the 
dealerships].

Don't let the absence of correct option pricing info
slow you down. Just guess-timate until the right info 
comes along. Few will know the prices are wrong....
just be in the ballpark. When/if the correct numbers 
come along, reprint the saved info using the updated 
info.

Using my excellent 73 sticker as a reference, here's 
what I suggest to get the best 'fake' or repro.

Using a computer for the entire process, you'll
want to pass it thru the printer twice. First, you 
must create a clean blank sheet with all the normal
text, colors and logos the form would have had prior 
to being typed on. Print that in the best quality 
your printer can muster.

Then, prepare your typed information separately, working
out the spacing and font size and, of course, accurate 
price/item info and spelling. You can check it by printing 
it on a blank sheet and placing it over the finished 
blank sticker form and holding it up to a light source. 
When you've got it all laid out just right, SET THE 
PRINTER FOR THE WORST QUALITY POSSIBLE (usually 'draft')
and print the Courier text onto your blank sticker form.

The reason is that typewriters slapped their letters thru 
a carbon ribbon, and the letters, on close inspection, 
are rather 'fuzzy' looking. Using draft mode will help 
your text look a bit 'fuzzy', too.

If anyone wants an excellent repro for a 1973 sticker, I 
can supply a beautiful blank form JPG for you to work with.
You'll need to add your own car's info by overprinting it 
as I've detailed above. I'm unsure how many years the 73 
version is 'correct' for, but I suspect several years, 
perhaps 1972-1978? Someone else may know this info for 
certain.
