Randy, Thanks for the word on this.  I wrote a letter to Vic Edelbrock over the non-availability of "off-road" shorty AMC headers.  I have their current catalog, and it clearly shows a picture of ceramic coated non-smog headers with the caption of "New! AMC shorty headers" or something to that effect.  I don't have the catalog in front of me now, but I did when I wrote the letter and pointed all that out with page numbers.

I never did get a reply, it seems it just went into the black hole of corporate Edelbrock, but who knows what effect it had as they probably had plans to do the non smoggers anyway and had to certify/make available the A.I.R. ones first.
