Is the current one of those flexible jobs that looks like a screw
thread? (I thight there was some obvious nomenclature for this
type but I can't think of it.)

I buy the molded-to-shape ones all the time, for my hashed-up 63
and the 72. They of course aren't correct, but they sure look

pretty close; some paint thinner would take off the lettering.
