> I'm heading to Pennsylvania near York area, then > heading back to Florida ... Anyone got anything AMC related to > stop and see along the way? If you're headed south, and want to see a REAL sight, stop down in Pikeville, NC on Rt. 117, I believe it is. It's about 4 hours south of Richmond, VA, from my memory, about 220 miles. There's an old AMC dealership with all the cars STILL there...I hear it's open during the week, some guy still sells stuff, occasionally. Quite a sight, it's overgrown with weeds, but gotta have over 200 cars, not all AMC, but a majority. IF you haven't seen it before, you SHOULD. > > I don't have unlimited time, but I was planning on taking back roads > as much as possible. Jim Boone > Mims, FL You won't regret taking a detour for THIS sight, Jim ! Make sure you have a camera with good batteries, 'cause you'll go ape at the sight of this old dealership still in existance, with all those poor AMC cars going to waste. Sad, sad sight, but some nice ones there, too. More behind the dealership outside, down a side street...Gremlins, Nashs, etc. Have fun and enjoy the trip! Jerry Casper, in VA, want to go back to check it out again someday.... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Meet the all-new My Yahoo! - Try it today! http://my.yahoo.com
