is there a correct way to set these bars up, because
mine have an adjustment.   Thanks

If you're referring to the factory torque links, the
set up procedure is described in the Factory TSM...
From my '69 TSM, Section 11, Page 5:
To adjust the torque links, remove rear wheels,
disconnect both rear attaching bolts, and load
the car until a 6 11/16" (AMX) 5 11/16" (Javelin
and Rambler, if so equipped) height is obtained
between the top of the rear axle tube and the
bottom of the body side sill (Fig 16).  With the
car in this loaded condition install and tighten
the torque link bolt to 100 Foot Pounds Torque.
I'll scan the picture and email it to anybody
who needs it, if required....
