I just want to
use this
engine as it sounds awesome, and I love the technology
of it.

=============================
AMEN.
The New Technology is just Incredible -
As a kid - I'd read of the TurboSuperchargers used
on the WW-II piston engined Fighters - wondered
of Hybriding to use on a car engine - now we have
Mailing Lists that Feature Turbocharging virtually
anything!
I'd read of the Twin Cam Inline engines used in European
Road Racing - and stand there looking at my 232 Flathead
Hudson motor - and now , GM has brought out a no holds
barrrd LL8 - L6 all Aluminum Twin Cam engine with
Hydraulic / Computer controlled Camshafts - and one
of the lightest packages available - with the Option of
4 x 4 application since a front diff. can be bolted to
the Factorys Ultra-Rigid Oil Pan.
GM shortened the con rods by 2mm - installed Forged
Pistons and attatched Twin Turbos - doing nothing else
to the Engine or Computer & pulled over 400HP Streetable
from this package........... Dang!
They have a 5.0 version - normally aspirated - that knocks
out 500HP -
I could install a Stock LL8
that shifts @ 6,800rpm
in my 4x4 Kammback and
include the attatchable front diff. and be over 100lbs.
lighter than the car without the AMC front diff installed -
and still be 4x4.............
.......... hmm.........
So Joey.......... 'Snake the 'X' ;)
Brien.
