Yup! It's a rant! :-) Understandable one though...

My tricks for this are  -- not that I don't get caught too! -- is
to ask for their phone number and CALL THEM BACK, even to just say
"Oh sorry, didn't mean to dial your number". Then later you can
bug them in style.

Also when arranging for a meet, tell them to call you WHEN THEY
ARE ON THE HIGHWAY (cell phone), ask where they are...!
