Re: How To Wack A Rusted Brake Drum

A: I can recall a few times where I hit the wrong nail and things went
flying (I try to be more careful now and am more apt to toss 4 letter words)
One time I was working on removing a motor mount bolt and I was distracted,
just as the motor fell and pinned my hand (Austin Marina) between the crank
pulley and a shock stud. Broke the skin on the back of my hand and nearly
through. I was so angry after prying the motor up and getting my hand out, I
opened the driver's side door and used it's length as a lever to roll the
car up on it's side! Everybody in the shop took that time to go have a 5
minute break while I pummelled the hulk part way towards it's fate as a
metal cube!

My old mopar buddy used to have two speeds when it came to tearing apart a
car.... "normal" and "going ape gear"

When something was not working out for him he would make the announcement to
clear the area... and he would let loose. He had really long arms and he
was a sight to watch when he got upset with over a repair.

Tonight I was winching up on my truck a 64 Classic that had 2 of the wheels
locked up. I pulled the front wheel off, took the trusty 5 pound hammer and
hit it really good. Knowing that I was out in some strangers field, sun
already went down.... I made the anouncement to clear the area....!!!!!
Once I got the wheel back on funny how it turned just fine :)

Ramble'n Randy

PS: I've never taken the larger drums off of a AMC 8cy before... any

special tricks... 3 screws on this like the smaller 6 cyl hubs ?
