A: Just for future reference, if the gate is crappo and you have permission, 
I open a hole (well below the glass then use vise grips (2 pairs once the 
hole is big enough or super duty tin snips) to peel open the outside where 
the clips are holding the window to the track and pop those (carefully, so 
your fingers don't get pinched and the glass doesn't drop and shatter. A 
rubber door stop jammed in the gap holds them usually) Once the glass is 
lowered (oh yeah! If it has the defrost grid, it may get scratched. Just a 
FYI) you can open the tailgate with the inside handle and after removing the 
weather stripping, you can pull the glass out. I've done 2 this way so far, 
but usually fish out the wire harness at the motor and carry a old harness 
plug with battery jumpit attached and an antenna switch (single pole with 
reversing double throw) to plug in and roll it down after opening the inner 
panel.
   I've done it the old "dangerous guy with jumper cables to a battery" way 
a few times too but I no longer crave the adrenaline rush and face burn of a 
battery exploding in my face. Not to mention the ringing ears that come with 
it!

Frank,

 I went back out there today and was able to get it out. Yes there are 2 
bolts that the regulator arms cover but on this they were large phillips 
head screws. there was only one I couldn't get to the other day. There are 
also three 7/16 bolts that hold the motor and I was not able to get to one 
of those because it was behind a regulator arm and I only had sockets with 
me. This time I had wrenches too so I was able to remove the motor, force 
the window down by hand, open the tailgate and then unhook the window from 
the regulators. It wasn't an easy task but I was able to leave there with 
window in hand today. After all the trouble I went through to pull that 
thing I am glad they only charged me $8.00 for it. Thanks for and 
suggestions.
