Find a Cherokee Joe - get the guy to pop the hood &
take a gander at the depth run of pipe the headers
take up - .

If it is that the 4.0 header will fit - you'll be in the Pink as
there is a Tri-Y made of Stainless with a chromed flange
on eBay - last I checked it had a lifetime warrenty and was
bid up to $5.00 with 2 days left - 

In the Eagle - there is less room but the '88-'90
4.0 Cherokee fits.

I have to check as to the '91 - 99 fit as that is the
Offering I found in Stainless on eBay - looks as
tho it will - 

I spent all night surfing for Gremlin 6 Headers - and 
they are nowhere to be found.

Hooker pulled out of all AMC 6 support.

The 4.0 camp have offerings from Borla - Banks -
Doug Thorley - Gibson - etc.  > all above $250.00
and more toward $425.00 + .
