Shipping a tranny

Anyone have any best easiest ways to ship a tranny advice????
I've weighed the S-42 automatic [135lbs] and measured it 37x22x22" boxed on a wood base and in a cardboard box. The UPS quote from here in Morgantown, 26505 to California came in at $120.50. 
   I just want to make sure that is the easiest/best way to do it. If I can do it better and cheaper I will refund any difference to the guy buying the trans. I just wanted to ask around before sending it out.
