going by memory, but i seem to recall that the tank and straps were both
galvanized and then the whole bottom of the tank, including the straps,
was undercoated. i used eastwoods "tank tone" but it's pretty tough to
copy a galvanized finish using paint. i didn't reshoot the undercoating
on mine, though i may do that in the future.
