Matt,

Are you sure? I manually aligned the notch on the timing mark at TDC.  I 
then removed the distributor and realligned it so the rotor pointed at 
Cylinder 1. (so at TDC, the rotor points to Spark Plug one).  Wouldn't that 
be correct?

Could something else be 180 degrees off internally in the distributor since 
i 'rebuildt' it?
