Re: 64 - 67 Sill plates - universal fit?

You can get new replacement two door sill plates for 64-69 Americans. Kennedy American (614-879-7283) sells them as part number IN228 for $35 each. I'm sure other place carry them as well. I don't think these are exactly like the originals. If I'm not mistaken, they're either like the later service replacement parts or they are the later parts (same size but they don't have the pattern the originals have to them -- simplifying the parts is pretty common when new tooling needs to be made).

Also, I strongly encourage you to join the AMC Rambler Club (http://www.amcrc.com). American parts are advertised all the time in the adds and you could even place a want add if you're still having problems. Also, you may want to check with places like American Parts Depot (http://www.americanpartsdepot.com). It's located in Ohio so interior stuff usually survives better. Kennedy American also has some parts cars so if you call them, you may get lucky there also. There's also a place in Indiana that has a bunch of parts cars but I can't think of their name.

Sorry Brian, there are two different sizes. Javelin sill plates might fit the two door American with a little massaging. Not positive they are the same length though.
