Armand, in 4 years of ebaying I have never had another bidder contact me,
this sounds very suspicious, my choice would have been to tell dannie 01
that he is welcome to it. Actually if you haven't sent the money yet, and I
know this sounds bad, but if you feel wronged, tell the seller you have no
intention of following through on the deal and take the hit on the negative
feed-back.
Regards,
Kim Bueler

Subject: RE: Shrill Bidding (Are we getting hosed?)
I am really beginning to not trust what is happening on ebay these days. I
bid on this AMC intake from pvilleparts (Calif based), this guy named
dannie 01 sends me this message copied below. He sends it to me about 3.5
hours before the end of the auction. I had to bid it beyond his bid to get
it if I wanted it. I think I could have gotten the intake for $42.00 less
if
he had stayed out of it. AS it was I got the part but is that bid rigging
or
what. He and I were the only bidders. Does anybody know these guys from
pvilleparts? |Are they honest? Is dannie01 a pvilleparts business owner,
buddy of, or employee? I sent an e-mail to ebay but I have gotten no
response from them yet. Of course my guess is they won't care about it
because they make more money when bids go up don't they? Just recently
some
people out on the east coast got busted for doing exactly what I am
writing
about. All I know is I'm sick of people cheating and ripping others off
for
the almighty buck. E-bay started out to be a great thing, but now that the
a**holes have gotten into it, I fear we will see the downfall of it
because
of rampant price gouging through false bidding.
just my 2 cents worth let me know what your opinion is.
Below is the message I got from dannie01.

Dear (name removed to protect me),
i mistakenly bid on the aluminum intake for 360, 390, 401. my max bid was
$110. if you want the manifold, i won't be bidding against you. rather
than
have a withdrawn bid on my ebay record, i'll buy it anyway. thanks,
dannie01
Thank you,
dannie01
