One approach would be to use polyurethane bushings.  I believe that when you 
use rubber bushings the metal shell that holds the bushing has be pressed out 
and the new one press into the control arm.  With polyurethane you leave the 
shell in place and replace the rubber bushing itself.  Getting the rubber out 
can be a trick.  I had to use a propane torch to burn it out.  Be very 
careful if you do this.  It makes a smokey mess, and I would have a bucket of 
water handy.  Anyway, I used a bench vice to press the new bushing into 
place.  The new bushing will have a new inner sleeve.  I found it easiest to 
remove the sleeve, press the bushing into the control arm, and then slide the 
sleeve back in.  Also, make sure to use the grease that is included with the 
busing, or it will squeak.
