Re: On the level?

I had the (dis)pleasure of viewing this very same book at
a store near my office one month ago. The cover looked
enticing enough, but when I started perusing the pictures
and saw several Euro license plates, I knew this would be
more amusing than informative. The next danger sign was
seeing "tire" spelled with a Y. "Tyre" equals "Typo" on
this side of the Atlantic.

And there's just something inherently wrong with stating
power output in kilowatts instead of horsepower (even to
us metric-minded Canadians).

Last but certainly not least is the poor quality of some
of the cars photographed - and I hate to say that the AMX
was one of the worst examples. In addition to the warped
armrest and incorrect parts, the floor of the car was
filthy. Would it have been too much to ask for someone
to VACUUM the damn thing prior to the photo shoot?

On the upside, at least none of the cars were converted
to RHD (no offense to our RH driving list members).

Clearly, the author is clueless.
