I too would have left it original. Not that I have a real say! It was just,IMHO, a more interesting car with the silver paint and vinyl top. It was Classy, and understated, but, you knew when you looked at it that it wasn't just another Matador. Now, in red, it doesn't do a thing for me. Plus, the "no expenses spared, Restoration" phrase sounds bogus when you look at all the chrome. Not a restoration, but a massive redo!Do-over! Restification! Pick a catch phrase, but it's not a restoration! If I where a very rich man, I'd buy it and strip it down and go back to silver with the vinyl top! I'm not a rich man, so I'm looking at what appears to be a very clean 82 Eagle with 40,000 miles on it on E-bay. Anyone have any Eagles out there that are clean and reasonably priced? A Cherokee XJ would work too! I need a second 4X4. Too much going on for us to only have one and travel the mountain this winter!
