It gets a bit old to see everything redone in "resale red." The original silver/black vinyl top color scheme would be much more interesting due to how few cars like that are seen. Plus, due to the rarity of the car keeping its stock appearance adds to the perceived value and interest. Of course this is merely my opinion. I once swore up and down that I'd never have a red vehicle. Now I have three--the Spirit, the Javelin, and my S10. The Spirit will be repainted Sebring Red because I didn't want to go through the trouble of changing it to white (which I'd prefer). However, I'm still undecided whether to paint the Javelin in its original Trans Am (orange) Red, or paint it either white or blue. The thing about all three of these red vehicles is that they all sort of "fell" into my lap--I wasn't actively seeking any of them. It just happens that they were all incidentally red.
