Steve AMC painted a lot of the interior panels. Some are molded in color, others painted. I know why AMC painted, just dont know why only some parts were and some weren't. All the dashes as far as I can tell were painted ( yes with dash pad attached). I have a booklet from Evert industries ( owned by AMC), they made arm rests, dashes and other AMC plastic parts, as well as some Dodge and VW parts, as they are pictured in the booklet along with Spirit, Concord or Eagle dashes getting painted to color ( all were molded in black). The dash is made from a black plastic which was painted the interior color. When I removed the crashpad the dash was unpainted under it. Were the crashpads painted while bolted to the dash? Thanks, -Steve-
