Well I didn't check my torque-tube T96 splines, I assumed
the output shaft would change TT to open, but I will for
completeness.

When I got the two Hornets from Ron, the 72 had the 70 motor
trans and I assume driveshaft in it, as the 72 motor developed
an extra hole in the block. Ron pitched the motor, but I took
the 904 ('72) and a driveshaft I assume was for it. Both the
driveshaft and 904 have "fine" spline.

I have no idea what spline is on the butt of that '70 aluminum
BW auto, and I don't feel like removing it to look :-)

I assume that also, and in any case the differences would be
trivial and mod'able.

Bellcranks can be bought new, even. It's everything else I
can't find!  Pushrod (pedal to bellcrank), the bracket for the
bellhousing, the ball/socket ass'y that the bellcrank pivots on.

I have what I believe is a '64 bellcrank, minus the pivot
and bracket for the bellhousing end. The '64 (10 80) cars,
the clutch pedal has a lever that reaches through the pivot
in the steering col support, such that the pushrod is on the
OTHER SIDE of the brake pedal.

I can make brackets, weld levers on the bellcrank, etc,
but since I don't even know what the real one looks like
(haven't owned a manual trans AMC is >> 10 years) and there
are none in yards, it's a bit tricky since it does that subtle
ride-between-engine-and-chassis thing, you don't want 'bump
steer' in the clutch linkage!

I have a pedal set for my '63 ('64), sigh, if it will
fit the '70 it puts the pushrod geom in the right place,
etc. But eeewwww, unless it bolts right in, it's getting a
little weird... fabrication and mods are fine, but kludges I

dislike. But it beats not driving.
