A: I was thinking similar, but what I did with a '66 Grande Parisienne was
use the grill mounted lights (same style as '65 GTO) as fog lights (redid
with halogens) and replace the vertical pair of fender lights with
rectangular ones then put an older bumper on ('65 Strato Chief IIRC) with
the factory turn signals mounted in it.

Why not locate the fog lights, or running lights, in
the turn signal pods. You could then mount aftermarket
signals behind the grill that only come on when
needed. Or discreet signal lights in the bottom air
intake. I'm picturing those lights that hang down as
getting hit pretty good the first time you nose it
into a parking space and forget they are there...Russ
