re: S/C V8 crossmember

Not wanting to argue..BUT it WILL NOT fit a 68-70 AMX.
All 1968-74 AMX/Javelin crossmembers are the same.
Narrow body is different...as it sounds...narrower
.Hornet/Gremlin/American/Concorde....etc  are narrower
than a AMX or Javelin.  NOW..(just a thought)you COULD
 use an Ambassador crossmember in a Jav...AMX...if you
want to move the engine way way back....for weight
transfer for  drag racing and such(with alot of other
mods as well). I've toyed with the Ambo crossmember
idea myself. Would entail moving the forewall as well.
