Well after talking to the vendor I bought my pistons from and my builder I am not worried about the pistons anymore. The minor defect in the one piston isnt really even a "hole" just a tiny chip in the crown that isnt any deeper than the +.030 stamp that is also on the crown. Yes the pistons are inexpensive but I put one side by side with my OE 343 pistons and I would say that the badgers are actually better manufactured, the crown is a bit thicker/beefier than the stock pistons(the area above the top ring) and looks like it can take more abuse. Also the valve reliefs in the badgers look precision cut where the stock pistons are more "rounded" at their deepest point, but that could be from 35 years of combustion pressures. I did notice that the stock pistons do have the struts as well. There was a corvette guy at the shop and I was inspecting my .030 over pistons and he commented that they looked pretty "trick", nope I said, just stock +.030 replacement pistons the bottom ! of the barrel actually, and he just laughed. ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
